Late Mr. Maganlal K Shah started his career in advertisement & sales promotion with the Birla Group. In 1962, he received an opportunity to head the Bangalore unit of a transportation company, Deepak Transport Agency. The company expanded rapidly and achieved many laurels in the transport industry under his able leadership. Being a founder member of the Goods Transport Association in Bangalore, he published monthly journals in the name of “Transtopics” which had news of all companies, their staff, their achievements etc. and garnered awe & appreciation from many in the industry. He was also an active member of the Lions Club.
In 1970, he started his own company, Dilip Road Lines, to transport household luggage of defence personnel. Soon the banking revolution created more demand for household goods transportation & the need for professional packing services, thus was born Leo Packers and Movers in 1975. Mr. Shah’s advertising sense helped him develop the mascot - lion in a human form. His dedication, innovation and sincere services helped the company grow its network and serve national & foreign clients & companies alike; making Leo a household name in the country.
Mr. Shah was a multifaceted man. He was a voracious reader and a master on subjects related to mind development; he knew face reading, palmistry and self-hypnosis and would conduct classes on these subjects. Having retired early, he dedicated the last 30 years of his life serving & helping others with personal and business issues and did so selflessly; without expecting anything in return.
His principle was to be honest in business. He believed that in being honest, one may lose initially but, in the long run, success will follow. He respected his employees and paid them over and above the market and he always understood the worth of a happy customer and strived to achieve it in every aspect. He strongly believed in the ethos that one should expand the business only as much as one can control its efficiency. His values continue to live & inspire the team at Leo Packers and Movers.
Mr. Dilip Shah, one of the pioneers in the relocation industry, joined Leo at the age of 17. The Packing & Moving industry was in its nascent stage then. Over the years, Leo has grown as one of the industry leaders under his leadership & management.
He has developed a culture of personalized service at Leo, ensuring that every customer is looked after with utmost attention. With an experience spanning over 4 decades, his know-how of the relocation industry is one of the finest.
Having overseen thousands of relocation jobs over the years, he now manages the business operations for International relocations. Lately, he also enjoys mentoring many young budding entrepreneurs & start-ups in the relocation industry.
Abhay Shah, third generation in the Leo Family, always had his heart in the relocation industry. Born and brought up in Bangalore, after completing mechanical engineering in 2006, he moved to Germany to pursue M.Sc. in automotive engineering. Upon graduation he joined Mercedes Benz to be a part of the elite R&D team for Mercedes Benz Diesel cars. He returned to India in 2012 to join Leo as a business development manager.
His interest for Automobiles continued as he stayed on with Mercedes Benz as an external consultant for a year. With higher opportunities in Relocation industry & increase in responsibility, he decided to devote all his working time to Leo. He pioneered the Leo International division partnering with various freight forwarders & relocation companies across the globe.
Apart from the International business, he spearheaded the tie-ups with various multinational companies to provide pan India relocation service to their employees. Leo currently has tie-ups with close to 30 MNCs, serving them across India. At Leo, his responsibilities also include Marketing & IT Infrastructure.
Ms. Jeenal Shah hails from Mumbai and moved to Bangalore in 2014. She graduated in MSc. Bio Technology in the year 2008 after which she completed her Diploma in Clinical Research.
Jeenal started her career with Johnson & Johnson as clinical research associate, later moving to Quintiles Research India Pvt Ltd as site report specialist. She joined Leo Packers in 2015, and took responsibility of Finance & Accounts departments.
She is responsible for streamlining of processes pertaining to Finance, HR & Accounting. Being in a leadership role, she also assists Mr. Abhay Shah and Mr. Dilip Shah whenever necessary.
